<p>Compound of formula (I) is new, (where A = amino, aminomethyl, cyano, nitro, N-alkylamino, N-alkylaminomethyl, N,N-dialkylamino or N,N-dialkylaminomethyl containing 1-6C alkyl; R1 and R2 each = hydrogen or 1-6C alkyl, independently selected in each -O-CHR1-CHR2 unit; R3 = hydrogen, 1-100C alkyl, phenyl, 7-100C aralkyl or alkaryl; x = integer 1-10; y = integer 0-10; z = integer 1-100). Also claimed is (a) a fuel composition comprising a major amount of hydrocarbons boiling in the diesel or gasoline range and an effective deposit-controlling amount of (I); (b) a method for reducing engine deposits in an internal combustion engine involves operating the engine with the above fuel composition and (c) a fuel concentrate comprising an inert stable oleophilic organic solvent with b.pt. 150-400deg.F and 10-70 wt.% of (I).</p> |
