MULTIPLEXED WIRELESS PAN AND TILT CAMERA ARRAY

A system of multiplexed, wireless, battery powered video cameras (10) and an RF video receiver, video digitizer, de-multiplexer and video compressor is disclosed. Also disclosed is a design for reducing the effects of fluorescent lighting flicker on motion sensitive video compression algorithms such as MPEG (42). Also disclosed is a design for a remote controlled electro-mechanical pan and tilt mechanism (60) with a single moving part per axis that allows precise positioning and variable slow rate.
