<p>The inventive method and device relate to expanded (exploded) food products such as porous sticks made of cereal scalpings and a mixture thereof with other vegetal products. According to the inventive method, the extrusion of material is carried out at 13 to 17 % humidity and an extruder exit velocity of 30 to 100 m/min for 4 to 9 % humidity. In order to produce a high quality product, the extrusion is carried out with the aid of several successively arranged dies. To this effect, the extruder is provided with several dies, for example three of them-the third, fifth and sixth-are successively arranged at the output of a helical cavity (4).</p> |
