A dental article is made from ceramic particles by sintering of a green body containing (A) ceramic fibers and/or (B) nanocrystalline particles. Independent claims are also included for: (1) a ceramic slip containing (A) and/or (B) for production of the articles; and (2) production of the articles by electrophoretically depositing a dispersion of the particles and (A) and/or (B) onto an article-shaped electrode, followed by sintering.
