发明名称 Wildlife homes
摘要 A group of connecting homes, commercial and/or not-for-profit buildings that serve to enclose a self-sustaining wildlife habitat sanctuary, specifically targeting the natural environment of endangered species, where appropriate. The homes serve as an impenetrable cage wall, much like the walls of a mountain valley, preventing animals from entering or exiting the habitat, with the possible exception of migrating birds and fish. On one side of the homes there is a self-sustaining habitat and on the other side of the homes there is modem civilization. The animals eat plants that grow in the wild, hunt, defend territories, breed through natural selection, and choose pack leaders or matriarchs of herds, free from adverse human intervention (e.g., hunting, trapping, etc.). The walls of the homes facing the habitat may have shatterproof glass windows or a caged terrace, allowing inhabitants of the buildings to safely observe the enclosed habitat, and human access to the habitat may be restricted to observation through windows, observation from the caged terrace, or hikes through caged walking paths. Otherwise, the homes have all of the obvious appearances and features of a standard condominium or townhouse. Specific variations of the caged homes include: cage homes which contain glass basement aquarium walls that allow inhabitants to observe the interaction of aquatic life in a body of water; cage homes enclosing or bordering upon a national park; cage homes in which the enclosure created by the homes has a ceiling of glass, allowing for a tropical wildlife sanctuary in a cold climate; cage homes where the habitats are fragmented and a migration path or bridge surrounded by the cage homes connecting one species' habitat to another; cage homes where there is a social center or café located in the interior of the habitat, allowing patrons to observe the habitat; and cage homes where there is an underwater tunnel cage connecting a body of water inside of the enclosed habitat to a body of water outside of the habitat, allowing migrating fish, but not animals, to enter or exit the enclosed habitat This invention may be the only way to preserve certain species, such as the giant panda, whose habitat is disappearing and has yet to be successfully bred in zoos to maintain its population.
