The pen's (10) applicator lead (16) is axially immovably fixed in a housing (12) and protrudes out of the housing. The lead is enclosed by a protective tube (18) which is axially adjustable in relation to the lead, and which can be pushed back into the housing on application of a defined force onto the lead. The retracting movement is restricted by a stop (40). the housing has a guide section (36) for the protective tube.
