The heat exchanger is provided with means for causing movement of the heat exchanger, e.g. a mechanical, electrical and/or hydraulic actuator, operated continuously or controlled by a device for detecting the icing level of the heat exchanger. The supply of the refrigerant to the heat exchanger can be interrupted during the periodic movement. An Independent claim for an operating method for a refrigerated goods presentation counter is also included.
