Improvements relating to graphical user interfaces

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and software for rendering information by using a GUI(graphical user interface) control unit selected according to a property of the information and to provide a computer-readable medium including instructions for that. SOLUTION: The method is for providing control on a computer user interface and the information stored in a database 12 is retrieved by a user. Then a GUI control unit which suitably displays the retrieved information is selected. Then GUI control is generated and used to display the retrieved information on a user display device 16.
