<p>Disclosed herein is a multi-layer golf ball (8) having a high Mooney viscosity polybutadiene core (10), an inner cover layer (14) comprising at least one ionomer (preferably at least one high flow ionomer resin) and having Shore D hardness of about 65 or less, and an outer cover layer (16) having a different composition than that of the inner cover layer (14), comprising an ionomer, and having s Shore D hardness of more than 65. The sum of the thickness of the inner cover layer (14) and the thickness of the outer cover layer (16) is greater than 0.090 inches. A method for making the golf ball also is disclosed.</p> |
