An elastic thermoplastic graft polymerisate obtained by radical polymerisation of one or more vinyl group containing monomers and at least one molecular weight regulator (MWR) in the presence of at least one rubber latex. An elastic thermoplastic graft polymerisate obtained by radical polymerisation of one or more vinyl group containing monomers and at least one molecular weight regulator (MWR) in the presence of at least one rubber latex. During graft polymerisation a mixture of monomers (M) and MWR is added to the latex so that the M:MWR weight ratio in the first reaction step (RS) is 50:1-400:1, in the second RS 100:1-800:1, and in the third RS 200:1-2000:1, and in at least one further reaction step at the end of the graft polymerization reaction only monomer is added to the latex, without MWR, and the condition M:MWR(first RA) <= M:MWR (second RS) less than M:MWR (third RA) is obeyed. Independent claims are included for: (1) preparation of the graft polymerisate by reaction of one or more vinyl group containing monomers and at least one MWR in the presence of at least one rubber latex as above; (2) a composition containing at least one elastic, thermoplastic graft polymerizate; and (3) a shaped part obtained from the above composition.
