The current supply circuit uses switching of an AC input voltage fed along a double rectifier path for maintaining a required output DC voltage, with a current generator (11) providing a regulating current when the loading of the current supply circuit is reduced, fed to a measuring current comparator (4), which compares a signal proportional to the input voltage with a signal proportional to the AC current for providing a feedback signal.
