Final tube diameter is achieved when a tube, still in a plastic state in a coolant reservoir, is guided through a ring(36), a guide bush(41) and a cooling tube(44) successively. The tube is drawn against the inner walls of the guide bush and cooling tube by coolant below atmospheric pressure. An Independent claim is made for the process equipment which is vertical and comprises an upper guide ring(36) in a cooling reservoir basin for directing a tube into a guide bush(41) and a cooling tube(44). |
