PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which can more effectively restrain the degradation of a photoreceptor and the contamination of a paper sheet through a peeling pawl by reducing contact of the photoreceptor with the peeling pawl as much as possible while preventing transportation jam securely. SOLUTION: In an image forming apparatus which can conduct double-sided printing and can switch a process speed, a control part 41 controls the contact/ separation operation of the peeling pawl 30 with/from the photoreceptor 7 on the basis of the process speed, an installation environment consisting of humidity and a temperature, and release properties of a paper sheet P from the photoreceptor 7 which are decided according to the kind of the paper sheet P. The control part 41 also controls the contact/separation operation of the peeling pawl 30 in consideration of the respective release properties of printing on the surface and printing on the rear surface in the case of double-sided printing. |
