PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an easily formable underlayer which enhances the adhesion of a coating film to an aluminum substrate in a method for producing an electrophotgraphic photoreceptor with an organic photosensitive layer on an aluminum substrate. SOLUTION: The underlayer is formed by subjecting an aluminum substrate to chemical conversion treatment with a treating solution containing phytic acid and fluotitanic acid (H2TiF6) to deposit a phytic acid-Ti coating on the surface of the aluminum substrate.
