摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanical seal usable under a high temperature circumstance of above 100 deg.C without using a cooling device. SOLUTION: A rotating ring 1 is formed by a carbon material made mainly of bulk mesophase crushed product having self-sintering property and one in meso carbon micro-beads. A non-rotating ring 2 is formed by a carbon material made mainly of bulk mesophase crushed product having self-sintering property and one in the meso carbon micro-beads.
