PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a pixel defect caused by an air bubble remaining between a substrate and a colored layer during thermocompression bonding in the manufacturing process of a color filter by a conventional film transfer method. SOLUTION: In a method for manufacturing a color filter by a film transfer method, the angle formed by the long axis direction of pressing members 5 and the direction of one side of a preceding pixel 11 of a substrate 1 for a color filter, or the angle formed by one of a scanning signal line and a video signal line and the above long axis direction, is set 0 deg. or more, and thereby, the component of substrate transportation direction is given to a passage surrounded by the preceding pixel 11 or the scanning signal line and the video signal line, the substrate and a color film 4, from which air in the region escapes. The air in the region is easily forced out, a colored layer 2 can be transferred without leaving the air as an air bubble between the colored layer 2 and the substrate, and thus the pixel defect is reduced. |
