<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for cutting and demolishing spent or defectively manufactured vibration-isolation laminated rubber (normally referred to as vibration-isolation rubber) for the purpose of recycling or disposal. SOLUTION: In the method, iron flange plates at both ends and a laminated part located midway between the flange plates and composed of rubber and a iron plate are cut off with a cutting tool while allowing a tensile force generating device for disabling the elastic repulsive force of rubber to act on a section between the flange plates because the vibration-isolation laminated rubber is a composite of rubber and iron. Additionally, an ultra-high pressure abrasive water jet is moved so as to be orthogonal to a laminated surface while emitting a jet of water from an abrasive nozzle for the purpose of cutting and demolishing the laminated part in prescribed size.</p> |
