PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding door device used as a means for opening and closing an entrance of a toilet or the like. SOLUTION: This sliding door device is provided with front and rear two sets of guide means 12, 13 disposed near the leading end and rear end of a sliding door 11 for opening and closing the entrance 2, and a front rail means 14 and a rear rail means 15 for individually movably guiding the front and rear guide means 12, 13. The front rail means 14 is disposed parallel to the longitudinal direction of the sliding door 11 put in the closing limit position, and the rear rail means 15 is disposed to be inclined or curved toward the oblique rear side from the position near the rear end of the sliding door put in the closing limit position. When the sliding door 11 reaches the opening limit position to open the entrance 2, the sliding door 11 obliquely enters with a gradient from one side of the entrance 2 into the inside of the entrance 2.
