METHOD FOR SCOURING CELLULOSIC FIBER USING XYLANASE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for scouring cellulosic fibers with an enzymic solution containing a xylanase. SOLUTION: This method for scouring the cellulosic fibers comprises a step of treating the cellulosic fibers with the enzymic solution containing the xylanase. In the method, a treatment with another enzyme such as a pectinase may be used in addition to the treatment with the xylanase.
