PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a electromagnetic wave preventive ceramic able to well display having electrical property of tolmarine that can absorb electromagnetic wave, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The electric magnetic wave preventive ceramic 10 is manufactured as follows. First, mixture containing granular tolmarine is formed by press, next the porous ceramic body 11 is sintered by baking the formed mixture at the temperature preserving the electrical property of the tolmarine. After that, a conductive layer 12 is formed on the outside surface of the ceramic body 11 in condition that all is not perfectly covered. This electromagnetic wave preventive ceramic 10 is used with installed on outside surface of the pocket telephone 14.
