PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the controller of a machining device and a control parameter setting support device which can easily set the control parameter of a machine tool corresponding to the total mass of a work piece. SOLUTION: The NC machine tool 1 with computer numerical controller(CNC) is provided with a storage means 20 storing a mass mode for automatically setting a work program and a control parameter corresponding to a plurality of mass modes, an input means 22 inputting a work mode and the like and a display means 23 displaying a control parameter setting picture for setting the control parameter. An operator displays the mass mode on the control parameter setting picture and selects the respective mass modes where the control parameter corresponding to the total loading mass of a loaded object is previously set. Thus, the control parameter corresponding to the total loading mass of the loaded object can easily be set for the operation control of the NC machine tool 1. Consequently, the work characteristics of a machining device can be improved.
