PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antireflection coating for a plastic optical component which is an antireflection coating for a plastic base plate, is excellent in an antireflection effect in a large range of visible light region, and is excellent in an antireflection function in the peripheral part of even a plastic lens base plate having a strong curvature. SOLUTION: When the refractive index of the i-th layer counted from the substrate side is represented by ni and the principal design wavelength is represented by λ0 in an antireflection coating for a plastic plate, this antireflection coating is composed of five layers of antireflection coating which satisfies the following conditions: refractive index of the substrate is ns; 1.45<=ns<=1.85; 1.40<=n1<=1.55; 1.60<=n2<=2.40; 1.40<=n3<=1.55; 1.60<=n4<=2.40; and 1.40<=n5<=1.55. |
