PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly precise and simply-structured vehicle torque measuring device requiring no adjustment. SOLUTION: This torque measuring device is provided with an input shaft 2 connected to a steering wheel at one side end, an output shaft 3 connected to a vehicle wheel side at one side end, and a multipolar variable reluctance resolver arranged in the input shaft 2 for detecting a turning angle of a torsion bar 1, which connects the input shaft 2 and the output shaft 3 together and is twisted according to a torsion degree of the steering wheel. In a vehicle, a stator 5 of the multipolar variable reluctance resolver is fixed in a position unshown in the figure, while a rotator 52 of the multipolar reluctance resolver is connected to the outer circumferential face of the input shaft 2 and turned with the rotation of the input shaft, and consequently, a corresponding output is obtained from a stator coil according to the rotation of the torsion bar 1.
