ASCENDING/DESCENDING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ascending/descending device provided with a function preventing the generation of twist or damage on a hanging member for hanging load. SOLUTION: This ascending/descending device is provided with at least two hanging members, an ascending/descending portion to which a load can be connected, a fixed portion fixed to a ceiling of a structure and coupled with the ascending/descending portion through the hanging members, and a driving means enabling the ascending/descending portion to ascend/descend by using the hanging members. The ascending/descending portion has a housing provided with an ascending/descending portion rotating preventive projection for preventing the generation of twist on the hanging members due to rotations of the ascending/descending portion, and the projection projects out at an outer peripheral side of the housing that the hanging members so as to adjoin each hanging member.
