PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide diazo photosensitive paper, which prevents formation of low contrast images, lowering of image uniformity and pre-coupling in storage (the deterioration of preservability), as defects caused by neutralized paper, containing calcium carbonate, kaolin, talc, titanium dioxide or the like, even if the neutralized paper is used as a base for the diazo photosensitive paper, has high color developing property and gives a sharp developed color image. SOLUTION: The diazo copying material is obtained, by disposing a photosensitive layer containing a diazo compound and a coupling component as principal components on one face of a base comprising acid-free paper, the surface pH of which is >=6, by way of a precoating layer and further disposing a back layer on the other face. The binder of the precoating layer contains a styrene- acrylic ester-methacrylic ester copolymer emulsion type resin and the glass transition temperature of the binder is in the range of -20 to +20 deg.C.
