PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet feeder capable of feeding sheets certainly without risk of skew or erroneous feeding even though the sheet is curled. SOLUTION: The sheet feeder 5 is structured so that the uppermost sheet PCT makes abut at the curled sheet abutting point 183T of a curled sheet abutting part 183 among an interlocking part 182 of a moving member 18 when a bundle of curled sheets PC is raised by an elevation table 11. With a further elevation, the interlocking part 182 interlocking with a first feed roller 12 with a play due to a through hole 184 in the form of an oblong circle rises, and a coupling part sensing piece 186 shuts off the light to a photoelectric sensor 19, and the rising motion stops. When the uppermost sheet PCT is fed by the first feed roller 12, its side edges do not abut to an upper sheet guide 15 (or not strongly), there is no risk of generating a skew or erroneous feeding.
