PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gate system for a container yard capable of automating the weight measurement of a container, increasing the speed of working, saving the number of workers, enhancing reliability and efficiency. SOLUTION: The weight of a container carrying vehicle 5 is measured with a platform balance 6 in this side of an inlet gate 1 of the container yard. Each weight of various kinds of container carrying vehicles 5 in a container no- loading state is stored in a storage device 11 by corresponding to the kind of the each container carrying vehicle 5. A signal of the kind of vehicle corresponding to each kind of the container carrying vehicle is inputted from an input device 12. The weight of a container C obtained by subtracting the weight stored corresponding to the input signal of the kind of vehicle from the weight measured with the platform balance 6 is computed with a computing means. A computed result is outputted with an output means 10.
