PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver dryer having a simple structure and high productivity. SOLUTION: The receiver dryer, of which the whole is shown by a mark 100 has a body 110 made by forging the material of an aluminum alloy in the shape of a bottomed cylinder. The bottom part 120 of the body 110 is provided with a first transit hole 122 and a second passing hole 124 of a refrigerant. One of the two passing holes is an inflow port of the refrigerant and the other an outflow port thereof. Pipes 140 and 142 made of a copper alloy are inserted into the two holes 122 and 124 respectively and joined thereto by in-furnace brazing. A cover member 150 made of the aluminum alloy is fitted in the opening on the opposite side to the bottom part 120 of the body 110 and fixed thereto by TIG welding W1. A pipe member 130 provided in the central part of the body 110 is formed integrally with the main body 110 in forging of the body. A pair of holding members 160 and 170, each having a structure pierced by the pipe member 130, are counterposed. Inside the holding members 160 and 170, mesh members 162 and 172 each of made a metal are disposed and a desiccant 180 is filled in the space inside these members.
