PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger, which is hardly deformed by a carbon dioxide refrigerant for attaining high heat exchanger effectiveness, and a heat pump water heater using the same. SOLUTION: A refrigerant heat transfer tube 13, having refrigerant channels and a water heat transfer tube 14, having a water channel are mechanically brought into thermal contact with each other, to exchange heat between the refrigerant and the water. At the time, the refrigerant heat transfer tube 13 comprises a plurality of microchannel flow paths. As a result, thermal contact can be maintained easily, while preventing the refrigerant heat transfer tube 13 from being deformed, even if the carbon dioxide refrigerant has high pressure. |
