PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display control method, a display controller, a display unit and electronic equipment enabling to perform the displaying of a moving picture giving no unnatural feeling even in the case of moving picture data which are to be generated at a rate lower than a reading rate. SOLUTION: A display controller 80 is provided with a display data RAM(random access memory) 82 and generates a frame frequency having frequency f0 in its internal oscillation circuit. The storage area of the display data RAM 82 corresponds to the moving picture display area of a liquid crystal panel. The display panel is driven with the moving picture data 86 read out from the RAM 82 with the frame frequency f0 to display the moving picture. When display data 90 which are generated from a display data generating circuit 88 with a frame frequency lower than the frame frequency f0 are to be written in the RAM 82, the controller 80 performs control so as to read out the display data with the frame frequency f0 after making the writing of the moving data advance at least one scanning line or more. |
