<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a top-blown converter in which the development of dust during blow-refining is drastically reduced in comparison with a conventional method and the yield of metal can be improved. SOLUTION: In a top and bottom combining blown converter holding molten metal and provided with a gas top-blown lance and bottom-blown tuyeres, the bottom-blown tuyeres are arranged in a manner such that a region in which gas jet spouted from the top-blown lance collides with molten metal surface, and a region in which the rise of molten metal surface formed with gas blown from the bottom-blown tuyere, are arranged at mutually separated positions in a plain view.</p> |
