PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve coercive force of a ferrite magnet without lowering residual magnetic flux density and without increasing additional amount of Co. SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing the ferrite magnet having a hexagonal system ferrite as a main phase containing Fe, element A (A is at least one kind selected from among Sr, Ba, Ca and Pb), element R (R is at least one kind selected from among rare earth elements and Bi) and element M (M is at least one kind selected from among Co, Mn, Ni and Zn), is that a compact of material powder is fired to make sintered compact, and after cooling this sintered compact to a temperature less than 400 deg.C, then the sintered compact is heat treated at the temperature of 400-1000 deg.C. |
