PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot air blow-through type fluidized bed furnace having a specified structure with improved conventional fluidized bed furnace, equipment cost is decreased, space is saved, thermal energy loss can be prevented from incurring, and the furnace is suitably used as a heat treatment furnace for a metal, such as an A1 alloy. SOLUTION: A fluidized bed furnace 16 is formed so that a container 32 is filled with a granular substance 30, the granular substance 30 is fluidized by hot air blown in the container 32 to form a fluidized bed, and a workpiece 34 is thermally treated in the fluidized bed. A cantilever type dispersion pipe 14 is disposed in the fluidized bed, and hot air is blown out through an air outlet formed in a downward direction in the dispersion pipe 14.
