PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recorder capable of efficiently supplying image recording material. SOLUTION: In this image recorder for recording images on the image recording material, such control is performed that the next-order image recording material on which the image should be recorded next is pulled out from a photosensitive material storage means and carried to an attaching means, by the time the image recording material which is supported on a supporting surface, such as the outer peripheral surface of a drum or the inner surface of the drum and where the image is recorded is removed from the supporting surface. Thus, the time taken starting from removing of the preceding image recording material from the supporting surface until starting to record the image on the next-order image recording material is made shorter than that in the conventional manner.
