PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a repair method for an existing manhole, allowing the repair of the existing manhole by a simple means. SOLUTION: A pit body 21 is inserted in the existing manhole 11. An outflow port 23 of the pit body 21 and an outlet 14 of the manhole 11 are connected by downstream pipe 41 to repair the manhole 11. In the existing manhole 11, an invert part 12 and the outlet 14 are subject to corrosion by hydrogen sulfide generated from sewage flowing inside a sewer pipe or the like connected to the outlet 14. The manhole 11 can be repaired by the simple means in comparison with the case of covering the corrosion part of the manhole 11 with a lining material such as mortar for repair.
