PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage container having a cover body which will not be opened unexpectedly by providing a stopper mechanism on a pedal, and having excellent sealing performance. SOLUTION: A container main body 10 has a back surface groove 22, a bottom surface groove 17, and a support part 23 enclosing an upper end part of the back surface groove. An outer cover 60 has an installation piece 63 rotatably installed on a support part on the back surface side of an inner surface of a top surface plate 61, and a support protruded piece 66 positioned on the inner side of the installation piece. A pedal 80 is rotatably journaled to a side wall 18 of the bottom surface groove, rotatably connected to a pedal connection member 85 at a rear end part, and disposed inside the bottom surface groove. The pedal connection member has a support piece 87 connected to the support protruded piece at an upper end part, and a holding piece 90 protruded at a back surface part, and it is disposed in the back surface groove. A pedal stopper 91 is rotatably supported by the support part to be detachably engaged with the holding piece. By stepping the pedal to release engagement between the pedal stopper and the holding piece, the pedal connection member is lifted in the back surface groove to open the outer cover. A middle cover may be provided between the container main body and the outer cover. |
