PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid detergent composition which can maintain flowability at normal temperatures and reduces an irritation of the skin and, in addition, has excellent detergency and can finish up the skin with a feeling of being moist without stretching the skin d in the smooth state after use. SOLUTION: The liquid detergent composition comprises a 10-20C fatty acid salt, >=10 wt.%, based on the total amount, urea and, at the same time, water, at least part of the alkali which forms the above fatty acid salt being an alkanolamine, and has a pH of 7-9.
