PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive float valve, capable of surely closing a valve port by a float, by making a spacing between a seating position of the float and the valve port with precision. SOLUTION: A valve casing is composed of an upper body 1 and a lower body 2. The upper body 1 is provided with an inlet 4. The lower body 2 is provided with a float seat 5 made by two presses, and with a valve seat member 9 having the valve port 7. The valve seat member 9 is provided with a float seat 5 as a reference. When the float 6 is seated on the float seat 5, the float 6 surely closes the valve port 7 by an outer surface of the float 6.
