PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply lay a visor of a cap in the direction separating from an embroidery region. SOLUTION: This cap frame for an embroidery sewing machine is characterized in that a cap frame 1 for an embroidery sewing machine is equipped with a receiving frame 2 which is inserted into the inside of a cap part 62 of a cap 61 with a visor and receives a peripheral part 70 of the embroidery region 69 of the cap part 62 and with a press band 3 which is wound from the outside of the cap part 62 and nips the peripheral part 70 between the press band and the receiving frame 2, the press band 3 presses the peripheral part 70 and both side parts of the visor part 66 of the cap 61 so as to mutually bring near both the side parts or the cap part 62 in the vicinity of the base parts of both the side parts.
