PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a displacement correcting method for paper sheets with large amount of displacement, and a paper sheet handling device less producing a trouble in the storage and providing an excellent storage efficiency. SOLUTION: This paper sheet handling device capable of correcting the displacement of the paper sheets and providing the excellent storage efficiency comprises a bill guide means for out-of-plane deforming, generally in a spiral shape, a side end corner part on the preceding side of the paper fed in the state of being displaced beyond a storage space width for storage and a bill deformation restricting means for restricting the excessive advancement of the out-of-plane deformation produced by the bill guide means.
