PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor having excellent mechanical strength and surface lubricating property even after the photoreceptor is used for a long time and moreover, to provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor such that electrophotographic characteristics, coating property and pot life of the coating material are excellent and that even a general cleaning blade causes no buckling. SOLUTION: In the electrophotographic photoreceptor having a conductive supporting body and a photosensitive layer, the surface layer of the photoreceptor contains polyallylate having a specified structure, polycarbonate and modified polycarbonate. The viscosity average mol.wt. (Ma) of the polyallylate is specified to be 30,000 to 105,000, while the viscosity average mol.wt. (Mc) of the polycarbonate is specified to be 25,000 to 55,000 satisfying Ma>Mc.
