PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely and efficiently perform cleaning operation for a sheet-type recording medium through simple constitution. SOLUTION: This cleaning device 70 is equipped with a 1st dust removing member 72, which is arranged on the rear side of an accumulative phosphor sheet 22, a 2nd dust removing member 74 which is arranged on the recording surface side of the accumulative phosphor sheet 22, and a driving mechanism 76, which displaces the 2nd dust removing member 74 toward the 1st dust- removing member 72 and then clamps both the surfaces of the accumulative phosphor sheet 2 with the 1st and 2nd dust-removing members 72 and 74 to clean the accumulative phosphor sheet 22.
