PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring instrument which is simple, is handled easily, and can calculate and recognize a grade. SOLUTION: The measuring instrument for the strain of a vehicle frame is constituted of a gage rod 1 equipped with a telescopic level, joint members 3, 4 which are installed at both ends of the gage rod and measuring jigs which are installed at the joint members. Freely contractible and expandable support pins 6 for point setting, gages or scales 12 and cross-type scales are installed at the joint members to be freely attached and removed. By using a combination of support pins or crossed-type scales, the measuring instrument for the strain of the vehicle frame can measure the strain of the vehicle frame.
