PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rise and fall mechanism of a roof material having a function equipped with a locking mechanism and, at the same time, locking or unlocking at need without making any control. SOLUTION: An offset hook member 32 having a groove 321 is connected to the side making rising and falling motion of the roof material 10 through a connecting member and a shaft 32. The offset hook member 32 is connected to a U-shaped hardware 322 provided to the front end of a linear body 40 through a shaft 323. The offset hook member 32 is pivoted with the shafts 311B and 323 as the pivot. When the linear body 40 is unwound, a pivoting member 5 is lowered in a posture shown in a fig. 5 (a). When the roof material 10 comes to the lowest end, the groove 321 is locked with a locking bar 80 as shown in a fig. 5 (b). Even if upward force is applied to the roof material 10, the pivoting member takes a posture shown in a fig. 5 (c), a locking state is maintained, and when the linear body 40 is made to take-up, the offset hook material 32 is unlocked from the locking bar 80 as shown in a fig. 5 (d).
