PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dried plant preservation article capable of easily performing treatment for shape retention and preventing discoloration without discoloring the dried plant and capable of reprocessing thereof and reusing scraps therefrom. SOLUTION: This dried plant preservation article is obtained by sealing a dried plant 1 coated with at least one transparent coating 4 selected from the group consisting of solvent-type vinyl resin-based coatings, solvent-type acrylic resin-based coatings, polyurethane-based coatings and epoxy resin-based coatings, in a transparent gel composition 3 comprising a styrene-based thermoplastic elastomer and a petroleum-based hydrocarbon.
