<p>A pallet, a method of testing a pallet and apparatus for performing that test are described. A pallet having base boards, blocks, stringers and top boards also has electrically conducting elements attached to or between the above parts. The elements have a number of points of weakness and are designed to break in the event of damage occurring to the pallet. To test whether the pallet has been damaged a measurable electrical characteristic, such as resistance, is measured. In the event that the pallet has been damaged the electrical characteristic will alter indicating damage. <IMAGE></p> |
