The penetrable plug (1) with a hinge bridge (6) is for fitting in a container in which the pipe end of a tapping-off unit is inserted for removal of medium from the container. The plug has a housing (2) with a hole. In the hole is a sealing membrane and between the housing and the membrane is a break edge (5). A hinge connection extends between the housing and the membrane. The break edge is intended to be broken under pressure from a front edge of an inserted pipe end of a tapping-off unit. After this, the membrane remains connected via the hinge connection with the housing and is pressed towards an open state.
