<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing the O-acetylation product of a phenol compound, by which the O-acetylation product of the phenol compound can be produced in high selectivity without using a strongly corrosive substance as a raw material. SOLUTION: This method for producing the O-acetylation product of the phenol compound, characterized by reacting a phenol compound represented by the general formula (R1, R2, R3, R4, and R5 are each independently H or a 1 to 10C linear or branched alkyl) with an acetate under a condition that the acetate is changed into a supercritical state.</p> |
