摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector, which increases the number of optical fiber waveguides without increasing the outer dimension of an optical connector, by laminating optical waveguides. SOLUTION: The optical connector is structured such that waveguides 2, 4 are formed with a tapered part 41 near the tip of one of the mutually parallel side faces, that the housings 3, 5 having square tubular shape in the cross-section are formed with optical waveguide-fixing grooves 50, 50' over the entire longitudinal direction on both front and rear faces oppositely facing each other, that these fixing grooves 50, 50' are composed of flat side faces 52, 52' bend-free over the entire longitudinal direction, curved side faces 51, 51' formed with tapered engaging faces 511, 511' which are bent near the tip on the housing- abuttting faces 39, 59' and which are abutted on the tapered part 41 of the optical waveguide, and bottom faces 53, 53', and that the side faces comprising the flat side faces 52, 52' and the side faces comprising the curved side faces 51, 51' are formed in vertical array, respectively.
