PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation image converting panel superior in the adhesive property between a support body and a phosphor layer, and remarkably reduced in cracks in the phosphor layer. SOLUTION: A vapor-deposited film is formed while heating a substrate by a heater, and the output of the heater is thereafter lowered stepwisely to cool the substrate gradually, when the phosphor layer is provided, and this radiation image converting panel is manufactured by forming the vapor-deposited film comprising a phosphor on the substrate.
